MC Whizzard, Rest In Peace

MC Whizzard passed away on Friday 23 April at the tender age of 22.

Whizzard had a huge passion for the garage scene and was a top class mc and host who will be really really missed. TRINITY will not be quite the same without him screaming out loud at his favourite tunes and making everyone sing along!

Thank you to those of you who left messages and flowers at Trinity on saturday – they were passed straight to his friends and will be given to his family.

There is a party at Purple e3 this saturday for him with all proceeds going to his family and young son Jordan. There will also be a party on Sunday 9th May at Equinox to raise money too. it would be great to see the Trinity crew there to give there support.

    I was in kavos when i heard of the loss of mc whizzard and it’s as if i am still expecting him to be coming out for trinity this summer! They say (in a song) that only the good die young and that is the case this time! I never knew him all that well, but when he’d come into jazz bar, he’d always have a shine and would give off positive energy whether he was on the mic or not! I also remember what a wimp he was the time we had gone out for the day jet-skiing and ringo-ing…......maybe that had something to do with the fact that he couldn’t swim!! Anyways, may he rest in peace and i know i have a few cd’s with him mc-ing, so to me he will live on!! Spiro-jazz-kavos Rolling Eyes

  4. That’s exactly how I feel and a lot of others feel. Its not fair that the lord can take such a young talented soul from his Friends and most importantly his Family.

    I would like to say that Whizzard was a very good Mc, good a working the crowd and bringing that vibe to all that met him. He was not an MC with attitude like most young Mc’s.

    I remember one time when we went carting in Kavos with the boy’s we were all racing around the track against some scottish boys we had just met and banging into each other sliding accross the track and quite basically having a laugh. This is one great time that we shared together it was great, he slammed so hard into my cart I nearly flew out, (funny) that was quite kool.

    Anyway I would like to send my condolances & Love to his family and especially his Son cause no child desrves to lose their father and both at such a young age. Safe Lip.

  7. Myself and Marko looked upon our little mate Whizz as nothing but family. When he passed away, we were stunned in cold silence litterally right around the corner at home and were amongst the first to hear of this tragedy.

    His funeral, i think, represented a show of unity in saying goodbye to an old but young friend who will never be forgotten and he’ll always live forever in our vinyl collections, old-school tapes and our hearts.

    The music biz has lost another great artist.

  8. mc whizzard, i never got to meet you personally but being at a few of your gigs i felt that i knew ya.

    1 year on its still hits me hard when i think about when i found out.

    the music scene lost a young star who will not be forgotten.

    I miss glasshouse, I miss the vibe and I truely miss what MC Whizzard brought to the game.

    It’s a shame that all good things must come to an end but all the things that were good can be locked in our minds and hearts as memories which don’t live like people do, they always remember you, whether things are good or bad, its just the memories that we have!!

    Long live Old Skool and long live Whizzard and all that were close to him. He was always an Angel in Disguise

    I’ve only been able to look at this web site, still finding it very hard without you by my side.. you were my rock, there is never a day that passes by that i dont think of you..
    I have a picture of us by my bed side, from the very irst time that i saw you.. losing you was the hardest thing that ever happened to me.. you’‘ always be in my thoughs and you’ll always have a special place in my heart..

  11. I didnt know about this site until a few days ago. i was friends with daniel from about the age of 11. I remember daniel as a cheeky but lovely boy. always wearing his bomber jacket, reebok classics and ben shermans (anyone remember this?!). Anyway, just wanted to let people who read this, even maybe his mum one day, know that I think about him everyday and wish we’d never lost contact with him! RIP daniel, love ya x x x x x

  12. hi there its the first time i have been on here and as a childhood friend of daniels and i am desperately looking to hear from anyone who can help me get hold of any tapes or any kind of recordings of daniel doing what he loved to do!. i was friends with daniel for over 15 years, we grew up together and went to school together in stevenage. i still think of him everyday. i would be soooo grateful if anyone could give me some help.

    anyways i suppose for now, since this place was dedicated to you, i shall say what i would say if you were here…
    today was the 2nd year exactly, since you left. and even though i did not know you personally. i can still say without doubt that things have changed. a void has surely been left in your families at home and musically.

    But as you must also notice, not only has your dream come true for ukg to breath again and live on, like you remembered it. but even stronger than ever before!! I know that you are shining down with a great joy. because even though i did not know daniel. I knew that one of your great loves was ukgaridge music. im sure everyone who knew you would agree of that, yeah. You must be pleased at how much of an impact you truly made on us. All that i can think to say is thanks bruv. You know i finally got off my ass with the music because of you man. My life changed directly somehow because of you.
    All Shine djs still always shout, Whizzard. Look at Dom and all that hes got going! You think its just a coincidence that Whizzard’s DJ is runnin the ROAD! The Fiddla and the Riddla! HAHA
    I wrote another tribute on the shine forums a long time ago for you. it said that that some of you must have went out and into all of us. I think its plain to see that your with us each and every. I hope your son can grow up with people around him whom can help him know of how great his pops was.

    I know its safe to say that part of why we do it is for you.
    We love it more knowing how much you did.
    And today it absolutey goes out to the love of ukg.

  17. i remember whizard from round Letchworth/Stevenage ways around the time when he was doin Prestige FM, he was a safe geeza. He did better than all them people that slagged him off an took the piss out of him an went a lot further too, like when he was wiv the Dreem Team in Aiya. Fair play 2 the man, he went 4 wot he wanted n got it, much more than u can say 4 anyone else, BIG BIG RESPECT bruv, Rest in Piece from enuff people from round Letchworth, Stevenage, Hitchin etc.

  18. There are thousands of reasons why i will miss Wizzard. The main one being his cheeky smile. He was a very talented young man who always saw the best in people. When he came to kavos there was never a dull moment. we were all blessed to have known him and he will be dearly missed. rest in peace lovie and keep smiling all my love Ellie xxxxxxxxxxx

    There are not enough words to say how much im missing mc whizzard.Not only was he a great mc,he was the nicest person ever.I enjoyed looking after his sunburn for him and putting cold yought on his sunburnt foot the size of a football. The cd i have of him is a good reminder of all the fun we had in kavos together and at the trinity partys. il never forget you whizz.
